'Dartmoor Called Me Home'
‘Dartmoor Called Me Home’
a new exhibition by
‘Through the bed of an ancient sea, the bones of an unborn volcano protrude.
A wide open wildness with hidden treasures revealed to walkers.
Dartmoor is home to folklore, fairytale, human history and elemental changes.
It’s home to water, stone, fire and air, dragons, piskies, ghosts and witches.
I thought I knew Dartmoor - curious as a new lover, I looked again.
And I found home inside me.
My connection to the landscape is a journey of self discovery.
In photographing the landscape, I explore the psyche.
I recognise myself as a part of that unknown impossible infinity.
I am the water, I am Dartmoor, I am the Earth, I am the Universe.
Dartmoor called me Home’
‘Dartmoor Called Me Home’ is an installation of new photographic work from British artist Henry Everett.
Through abstractions, psychedelic realism and visual storytelling, these photographic images paint a new portrait of Dartmoor.
Appreciating the world as a living being, we are invited to question - how does the landscape meet your imagination?
How does your experience connect you to the living world?
At a time when it is crucial that we engage and listen to our living planet, you are invited to look again at the landscape and rediscover yourself in it.
