I make work by collecting stones when I am walking through the landscape. I record where the stones come from and grind them to powder to make a dust/pigment. This produces a colour, which is also a place with a name, wether it be a mountain top, beach river, church yard etc. I like the idea that these stones have life spans of millions of years, and when I make a work. Each work begins with a journey of some kind, I see them as 'collections of places'.
