I aim to capture the drama and emotion of what I see around me. The attraction maybe through shape and form, patterns and textures or the transient nature of light and atmosphere. It is the challenge of the capture which fascinates me. I work with acrylic, oil and pastel, often in combination. Working with stoneware clay adds another dimension to my work which is mostly sculptural in form. I use porcelain slips and oxides to enhance pattern and texture.
