In essence, tapestry weaving is a deceptively simple, slow ‘over, under’ process, but nonetheless I’m fascinated by the variety of effects which can be achieved utilising different warps and wefts. Brought up in Africa, my abiding memories are of wide open spaces, vibrant colours and strong design and those memories are starting to influence my work as I find myself inevitably drawn to certain colours and images.
