Mark Jessett
Mark Jessett is a painter working on paper. He studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths’ College and is co-founder of N-E-W Art in Ashburton. Mark's work explores relationships between colour, surface texture, translucency and opacity. Evocative forms provide the basis for the paintings, including flag-like shapes and fantasy minerals. The realm of artifice and escape is celebrated, drawing inspiration from folkloric and educational imagery.
