Laura Harrison McBride

It has been said that my pictures tell stories; why not? Before I went to art school at The Art Students League of New York, during and after, I was a full-time journalist. Telling about things seems to be in my nature. My work ranges from semi-naive to a form of realism. I believe art should not necessarily imitate life, but rather, comment on it or at least open it to speculation. I hope to offer things for others to see in my art that even I do not know are there.
