The Beautiful Design by Jackie Wills

‘The Beautiful Design’ by Jackie Wills, 2011. Hand sewn patchwork comprising of 170 different colour fabrics. Glazed cotton chintz and craft fabric of various weights. The colours, excluding black and cream are randomly placed. I first came across this Islamic design about 45 years ago. To this day, the lines and shapes within continue to mesmerise and fascinate me. Over the years I have created many different variations. This is the best.
