Feeding Wildlife in the Garden
A mixed media illustration. Pencil, pen and watercolour. Illustrating feeding wildlife in the garden.
I've been working professionally as an illustrator since 2004 under the aegis of my small business Naturama. I illustrate books, leaflets, magazines, greetings cards - usually on the subject of Nature. Sometimes I illustrate children's books and educational material. I'm currently the National Youth Officer for the British Naturalists Association - some of my identification guides and other work can be downloaded from their website -naturalists.org.
I work mainly in black and white line, over which I wash watercolour - line and wash. Sometimes I use solely watercolour or just my pen. I might also use pencil with watercolour for a softer effect. I'm a mixed media person really and love vibrant colours but in a fairly natural way, as if there is a sunset. I will work with more gentle tones for dusk. These are the times when wildlife is most active.
I currently illustrate and write a family page for Exmoor Magazine. For more information please look up my website , follow me on facebook or ring me.
