A 12" by 12" acrylic on canvas. I used to cycle to work accross this beautiful heathland years ago!
A hot spring day on the river Waldon (near Milton Damerel)
Acrylic on a 61 x 50 cm deep-edge canvas
Ploughed field near Cadeleigh, Mid Devon
This tiny impression in acrylic sums up the summer of 2012 for me. Still love the image though!
I have painted in oils since I was 13, I have played with colour and shape on canvas ever since, in many styles and in many media. My main focus currently is landscape, but I also do serial abstracts. All these formats are immensely enjoyable, and are still developing and changing. My figurative work is a tribute natural beauty wherever I find myself, inspired by artists such as Peploe, Bevan and Cezanne. In my abstracts you'll find influences by artists such as Riley and Escher.
