I am a wildlife and nature writer and artist. I love drawing and although I often work in watercolour or oils, the majority of my work in recent years has been in pen and ink, mostly black and white but occasionally in sepia. Pen and ink allows me to produce finely detailed pictures which I enjoy doing. Much of my artwork is done referring to the many hundreds of photographs I have taken over the years. I also make field notes and sketches when out and about.

I grew up loving the countryside and the British flora and fauna, and was always sketching out of doors, at home and at school. Wildlife is my life. It is more than a hobby it is part of my every day bread and butter. It is a real thrill and a privilege to know that a picture one has spent many hours producing, actually hangs on somebody's wall. A finished work really is part of oneself and one's spirit.
