My work reflects journeys made along the rivers, estuaries and coastline of mainland UK and it's islands - and closer to home in the South West of England.
Whether on foot, or in an open canoe or kayak, opportunities arise to view places both familiar and new from different perspectives.
Changing tides, weather and seasons, and our impact on these marginal natural habitats, combine to inspire me.
I use a range of media in my work; from graphite, pen and ink and watercolour studies to large canvases, upon which I work mainly in acrylics.
Photography also plays an important part in recording my journeys, whether as one off images or as part of a diary.
I am one of 6 artists who, combined, make up the group 'Incidental Imagery'.
In 2008, I showed with them as part of the '9 Days of Art' Devon Open Studios event, in the village of Bishopsteignton, South Devon.
From the 13th - 20th November 2010 the Incidental Imagery Artists will be putting together a showcase of work from 2010 at The Gallery at Birdwood House,
