I am a painter living in rural surroundings. I enjoy seeing the beauty and magic in nature and am inspired whenever I take a walk in my local countryside. Colour and texture inform my painting and I have recently moved from oils to acrylics because I feel it is healthier for my environment. Usually I take a sketchbook with me whilst walking on the moor to record the more interesting details and broad effects and I use these sketches in the studio to make a finished piece of work.
