Helen Lee

Originally from the North East of England Helen has spent the past 30 years Living in London. She is mainly self-taught but has attended courses at NEAC, British Museum, Royal Academy and London Print Studios. She works mainly in watercolour but also enjoys printmaking. She paints the world around her and often includes an architectural componant in her work. Her brush marks are loose and bold giving an impression of what she sees. Helen has recently moved to north Devon where she has set up a studio and gallery space in a converted listed coach house. She has recently painted a series of bird watercolours inspired by her new surroundings. She has taken part in several open studio events, pop-up shows and has exhibited both in the suburbs and in central London. She particularly enjoyed showing at Laurderdale House , Highgate and the Crypt Gallery, St Martins-in-the-Fields Trafalgar Square in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Helen is a committee member of North Devon Arts and has recently been selected as a member of Westward Ho! and Bideford Art Society.
