I have been painting all my life and started selling psychedelic posters when I was at school. I can't resist bright colours so there is always a series of these paintings on the go. However, I do not paint in one fixed style, as I would find this extremely boring. Rather I am interested in finding different ways of working which allow multi-layered interpretations.
I am currently still working on my Dreamscape series of paintings, as well as playing with mosaics, photography and interesting ways of printing. Where I live is a gift for a painter. It is a conservation area and nearly every morning I am greeted my the honking of geese flying in formation past the window. It always makes me laugh. So I am influenced by the landscape in which I live, the seascapes with which I am surrounded and the elements.
In the past I showed my work all over the place, but I rarely do this now, as I am happy in my little studio/shop in Cockwood. As well as painting I am always making little things to put in my shop and I am developing a new series of affordable prints, which will be on my website shortly. So if you fancy a walk around Cockwood Harbour and perhaps lunch in one of the pubs, I would be happy to see you.
