Alice Leach

'In Triplicate', a body of work composed of over 100 pieces of paper in letter-form, takes loss of meaning as its starting point. Each piece is worked and overworked three times using inks that can bleed and blur so that the text begins to become illegible. They are then posted into the world to return back where they started - a symbolic journey representing the futility of trying to find concrete meaning.
Alice Leach was born in 1968. she studied art at Chelsea College of Art and then at City and Guilds of London Art School. Alice now lives in South Devon and has had numerous exhibitions since her first solo show in 1998 at Gallery 27, Cork Street, London. Alice is also exhibiting with the Joy Collective, a new cross art-form performance initiative.
