I am a self taught artist living and working in Teignmouth, Devon. My passion is people and landscape. My motivation is to convey a sense of atmosphere and connection about the subject matter I choose to paint. In my observations through my painting, I often feel a sense of tension in both nature and humanity. This is portrayed in my landscapes where I have used different techniques and applied them within one canvas, thus creating this sense of uneven tension.I us a lot of texture in my painting as I like the feeling of almost moulding and forming the picture whilst I work.
I also work with computer images and I am a member of T.R.A.I.L An environmental group of artists www.trail.org.uk , where I make sculptures made out of unwanted materials.
