Home Page for Sandra Mitchell
Sandy Mitchell has recently re-located to Devon from Scotland. She designs and makes contemporary, colourful jewellery from silver-plated and enamelled copper wire using a palette of 18 colours, with the addition of glass beads, steel, rubber and more. Her inspiration comes from the rich textiles and architecture that she has seen on her extensive overseas travel. An encounter with basketry brought weaving and texture into her work with wire. All the jewellery is made by hand using simple tools from her studio, overlooking the sea in North Devon. | |
