What can I say about my work?

'Capturing that which can only be caught once that is what is exciting about my work'. This was said by someone looking at my work for the first time this year. Yes it is about being at the right placce at the right time but that is only part of it.  You have to see what is happening you have to see the possibilities, you haveto be able to diessect and see a new picture, a new form. What I enjoy when people look at my work are the different pictures/stories they see.

The changes in movement and colour of water dependent upon temperature, time of day and year and what surrounds the water or hangs over or below is what excitesme. Pictures which emerge can be puzzling, calming, intriguing and for some meaningless but then each of us is attracted by different forms.  Ioccassionally want to represent a scene which is recognisable but in the main I am attracted to the abstract form. And yes I hope people see soemthing different.

I now use a digital SLR having worked in film for many years.
