Home Page for Amy McCarthy
I now have a small stuidio making and repairing stained glass windows. I use traditional leading and copper foil techniques to make bespoke commissions and smaller gifts and decorative items. My work focuses on striking, simple designs and my love of colour. For more examples of my work please visit my website which has links to my shop and information on where I am exhibiting currently I also make mixed media recycled pictures and sculptures working in recycled materials. I often use waste stained glass and broken costume jewellery to create my own style of detailed layered mosaics. Much of my inspiration comes from the beautiful Devon landscape around me, especially the coastline and moors. My style is colourful and bold and I aim to create beautiful accessable art using a range of glass techniques. If you would like to visit my studio please contact me, the kettle is always on!

Lovely unique brooches made entirely from recycled items. These are funky little beer bottle tops filled with shards of stained glass, shells, found items and costume jewelery covered with a watery topping of resin. Each one is unique and its a lucky dip what you will find in yours! They make a perfect small gift.
