I have always been fascinated by the world around me. The people, the light, emotions and feelings converted into sculptures in clay taking on their own form of life. These objects have an impact on the people who see them. Using a range of media, I like to create sculptures and pictures with meaning. My sculptures are mainly ceramic fired to high temperatures making them tough and durable. Texture is added with clay pressed into a mould and oxides help to accentuate the effect. The stoneware firing gives the work an earthy look. After studying at Falmouth College of Art I moved to Exeter gaining my BA (hons) degree at Exeter College of Art and Design. | |
