Contemporary Artist

At 16 years old I won a scholarship to the Salisbury School of Art. I was inspired at art school to try out many different art mediums, over the 3 years of training.

On leaving art school, I worked mainly in commercial art – producing posters, adverts, scenic painting and design projects. Over the years I have evolved from tradition to contemporary art. I take inspiration from beautiful shapes, flowing lines and experimental colour combinations.

 I have recently focused on the medium of encaustic wax art, producing very interesting pieces with fascinating colour hues on flowing abstract designs.

Encaustic  wax art  is a very old medium and was first used by ancient Greeks and Egyptians. With modern techniques and materials it is a very exciting vehicle to work with, it allows me to experiment in colour and shape, and to produce some highly individual pieces of art work.   

As well as original encaustic wax art, I also produce oils and other mediums and have prints and cards of my work.
