I create vibrant, colourful and beautifully crafted stained glass pieces. My home county of Devon provides me with a wealth of inspiration, the sea, the beautiful, rolling, patchwork quilt of a landscape and the atmospheric Dartmoor have all been sources for my designs. My love of Devon extends to trying to hang on to some wonderful old Devonian phrases, reference to 'drumble dranes' and 'floppydocks' can be spotted hand painted and preserved forever in stained glass pictures.
Window panels, framed pictures, mirrors, lamps and small pieces including light catchers are all created in my light and bright studio in Kingsteignton. The studio is also my teaching base and I regularly run full day, part day and 20 week courses from there. I have a teaching background and I thoroughly enjoy this aspect of my work. Beginners are always welcome as well as those already caught by the stained glass bug.
I am always happy to meet people interested in knowing more about stained glass and the studio is open by appointment throughout the year if you can't make it to the open studio event.
