Devon Artist Network (DAN) is a membership organisation set up to promote the visual arts and create opportunities for artists and makers in Devon.
DAN was established in 2004 and is a non-profit making organisation initiating a range of projects across the county including the well established Devon Open Studios (DOS) event that runs annually in September.

I am at heart a colourist, and love balance and harmony. I like to capture the mood of wild isolated landscape, often coastal, where there is an evocative, ethereal atmosphere. I lived as a child in British Columbia by the sea and mountains, and in my 20's lived for many years in Mexico where I worked as a graphic designer. I have a studio in East Devon overlooking far distant Dartmoor, and paint what the landscape makes me feel. My paintings are composed of fragments of memories, implemented by the use of my imagination in order to find ways of using colour and form to convey a calm space, a sense of peace and healing that is to be found in being still in nature. |
